Our Church Activities
Messy Church
We think you'll love Messy Church, whether you're 9 or 90! It's once a month on the first Sunday at 4pm at Hathersage Methodist Church Hall. It's a hands-on, creative approach to church, with a chance to make things, experiment, play, build, get active and meet new people. There is also a short Bible story and song, and we end up with a shared meal. Just turn up, or for more information contact hathersagemessychurch@gmail.comre to edit.
Fellowship Groups
Our Fellowship groups meet on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
Friday Social Group
Formerly the Thursday Group - meets on the first Friday in the month at various venues either at lunchtime or in the afternoon.  If you would like to join us, or for more details, contact Pat Chatburn, 01433 651694.
Please note      Café Agape, Cameo Café and the Thursday morning Prayer Meeting and Open Door are not meeting at the moment.
'Café Agape'
The church lounge is open between 3.30pm and 5.00pm every Tuesday for the young dancers from Emma Clare's Dancing School who meet in the church hall. They can get changed and their siblings, parents and carers can stay in a cosy environment to relax, chat, read, play and have some refreshments whilst waiting.
Volunteers to help run the cafe are welcome.
Prayer Meeting and Open Door
Every Thursday morning, 9.00am Prayer Meeting in the church then 10.00 till 12 noon, the 'Open Door' in the church lounge invites all to have a coffee and a friendly chat.  At this time the chapel is open for private prayer and a pause in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Cameo Café
Our aim is to enable carers of people who are living with Dementia in Hathersage, to bring their loved ones, and enjoy a break, while the Cameo Friends engage with our ‘Voluntary Helpers’ in various activities suitable to each persons capabilities and needs.
This could be just having a chat and a drink, or a walk down memory lane with photos, or music, or a game of dominoes etc, or perhaps indoor bowls. It will all be centred on the needs of people who attend.
